For Consumers
For Developers
Roughly, the following procedures are necessary to develop products that conform to PictBridge and to use the PictBridge mark/logotype for these products.
There are two types of PictBridge standards: the USB standard and the DPS over IP standard. The differences in acquisition procedures are as follows:

- It is necessary to acquire the USB standard in order to acquire the DPS over IP standard. It is necessary to complete all procedures for acquiring the USB standard, and to obtain the guidelines for the PTP-IP standard and the DPS over IP standard. If any of these items have been acquired, it is unnecessary to reacquire them.

- There are two types of test tools: a USB version and a DSP over IP version.

- Logo certification fees differ according to application type (application for both USB and DPS over IP versions or an application for either one of the two versions.)

Where there are differences in the procedures for the USB and DPS over IP versions and sections that need to be given extra attention, either "USB version" or "DSP over IP version" is indicated.
