Notice of termination of PictBridge logo certification program.

• １.  CIPA has been operating the PictBridge Logo Certification Program since 2003, with the aim of creating an environment where users can easily and safely connect devices such as cameras and printers displaying the PictBridge logomark.
  
  However, now, approximately 20 years after the standard was established, as the connection environment between devices has diversified, we have determined that its initial role has been completed, and we have terminated its operation on December 1, 2023 (Logo certification program end date). Thank you very much for your continued support.
  
  From now on, it will no longer be possible to use the logomark and name regarding the "PictBridge" trademark owned by CIPA. For more information regarding the "PictBridge" trademark, please contact the CIPA Secretariat.


• ２.  The "Agreement for CIPA DC-001" that you submitted when obtaining the CIPA standard "CIPA DC-001-2003" ceased to be effective on December 1, 2023 (program end date) mentioned above. However, the provisions of the survival clause stated in Article 7, Paragraph 4 shall remain in effect.


• ３.  The "STATEMENT FOR STANDARD CIPA DC-001" submitted at the same time as the above "Agreement" shall remain in effect even after the termination of the "PictBridge Logo Certification Program" and the above "Agreement".


• ４.  The "Agreement for CIPA DC-005" and "Agreement for CIPA DCG-006" that you submitted when obtaining the related standards "CIPA DC-005-2005 (PTP-IP)" and "CIPA DCG-006-2012 (DPS over IP)" ceased to be effective on December 1, 2023 (program end date) mentioned above. However, the provisions of the survival clause stated in Article 7, Section 5 of each agreement shall remain in effect.
  
  Additionally, "STATEMENT FOR CIPA DC-005" and "STATEMENT FOR CIPA DCG-006" submitted at the same time as the above each agreement shall remain in effect even after the termination of the "PictBridge Logo Certification Program" and the above each agreement.
