[1] After confirming the contents of the "Guide to obtaining standard,"
download "Agreement for CIPA DC-001," fill in the form, and send it
to the CIPA Secretariat (for both CIPA members and non-members).
[2] Pay *JPY 56,000 (including bank transfer charge) to the designated
account as an administration fee (for non-CIPA members only).
[3] When the CIPA Secretariat confirms the Agreement (for both CIPA members
and non-members) and payment (for non-CIPA members only), "access ID numbers"
necessary to download the specifications will be issued (10 per company) and sent
to the designated address by e-mail.
[4] Download the specifications and other related documents after completing
the registration for access ID as explained in the abovementioned e-mail.
[5] Fill in the "Statement for CIPA Standard DC-001" attached
to the "Agreement for CIPA DC-001" and send it to the CIPA Secretariat
(for both CIPA members and non-members). |

Develop products that conform to PictBridge >> Purchase a test tool and
conduct a self-test

[1]
Advance the development of products that conform to this standard on the basis
of the specifications and other related documents.
[2] Apply for purchase of a logo certification test tool called Test Suite (authorized by CIPA) from "Get CD-KEY" on the website of the organization that sells a logo certification Test Suite (for both CIPA members and non-members).
[3] The organization sends the applicant a license No. called "CD-KEY,"
a password, and a Test Suite License Agreement form by e-mail.
[4] Fill in the "Test Suite License Agreement" and submit two
copies thereof to the organization (for both CIPA members and non-members).
[5] When the two copies of "Test Suite License Agreement" arrive
at the agent, a download address will be sent to the applicant by e-mail. The applicant
will then be able to download a logo certification test tool.
In addition, one of the copies of the "Test Suite License Agreement"
and a bill
- Windows2000 ver. JPY750,000 per license (price including consumption tax: JPY787,500)
- WindowsXP ver. JPY900,000 per license (price including consumption tax: JPY945,000)
with consumption tax will be sent to the applicant.
* Download the tool through a Web address that will be sent by e-mail. CD-KEY
and password are necessary.
* If the developed product is a printer, a PCI board is also necessary.

[6] Conduct a prescribed self-test on the relevant product by using the
test tool and pass the test.

Fill in the related document titled "Trademark Master License Agreement,"
which was downloaded from the CIPA website, and submit two copies thereof to the
CIPA Secretariat (for both CIPA members and non-members; for the first certification
only).
[2] When the CIPA Secretariat confirms the receipt of the documents, it
will send back one of the copies for the applicant to keep and also send a bill
for the logo royalty of *JPY 206,000 (including bank transfer charge; for both
CIPA members and non-members) and a bill for the logo administration fee of *JPY
206,000 (including bank transfer charge; for non-CIPA member only).
[3] Pay the amounts described in the abovementioned bills to the designated
account. (However, if you make payment from outside Japan, the logo royalty may
be subject to withholding tax, so confirm with the related domestic agency of
the country from which you remit before taking steps for remittance. If the royalty
is subject to withholding tax, please note that you are required to remit the
amount remaining after tax payment together with a certificate of tax payment
after paying tax within the country from which you remit. Please contact the related agency
in your country for tax payment methods and other details.)
[4] When the CIPA Secretariat confirms that the abovementioned payment
has been made, it will issue an "agreement No." (one per company), which
is necessary for making a reservation for logo certification, and send it to the
designated address by e-mail. |

of remittance outside Japan. In case of remittance in Japan, the price of specifications
is JPY50,000(not including consumption tax and local tax).
