DSC Committee has been established on July 15, 1999 as the eighth committee in JCIA succeeded to DSC Study Group which had been started in 1995 and supported by JCIA as secretariat. 23 member companies of DSC Study Group have been registered as the initial members of DSC Committee (1) To take active part in discussions at international standardization organizations such as ISO/TC42 (Photography) / WG18 (Electronic still picture imaging ), keeping close contacts with domestic as well as foreign organizations concerned. (2) To enrich and repair the DSC Committee Standards. (3) To plan to raise the level of JCIA members as well as the persons concerned by holding technical seminars and lectures. (4) To watch the trend of domestic as well as international market by preparation and publication of Official Statistics on DSC.
