- JCIA was dissolved in June 2002. CIPA started July 1 immediately
after the dissolution, but it is a new institution.
- Where are the standards that the JCIA developed?
- CIPA has inherited the standards.

- CIPA has inherited the data.
- What is the scope of the information you provide?
- The Camera Imaging Products Association (CIPA) makes industry-related
information available, but not private information relating to each
individual member company. In particular, we firmly refuse to divulge
any data relating to the business activities of individual member
companies.
- Are consumers able to consult with you regarding cameras,
including digital cameras?
- CIPA does not provide any consumer consultation service. Consumers
are asked to use the consultation services provided by relevant
manufacturer, or a consumer consultation center.
